The weekend kicks off with the expo and packet pick-up in downtown Durham, followed by a Carb Crawl, with local restaurants showcasing why Durham is foodie heaven.
With differing distances on race day, you are welcome to race, go for distance, or run with family and friends. Each distance has something unique to offer. The half-marathon showcases downtown, Trinity Park and Duke’s campus. All races start next to the American Tobacco Campus with a post-race festival on the lawn at the Durham Performing Arts Center. There will be food trucks, a beer garden, a kids’ zone and entertainment.
We are pleased that Habitat for Humanity of Durham continues to be the Official Charitable Beneficiary of this landmark running and food event. The partnership enables our two organizations to continue our commitment of creating positive economic and social impact for the Durham community for the next five years, funding the building of Habitat houses in communities across Durham.

*Promo code discounts do not apply. The shadow runner category is for people that are unable to join us on race day, but still want to run the Half Marathon distance in their own local area. It is based on an honor system. We mail shadow runners a finisher medal and a shirt the week after the race. We do not allow transfers into the Shadow Runner category if you are already registered.

- This opportunity is first come first served and, once sold out, we will not offer any other Race Day Packet Pick-Up options.
- Once you register for this service, you will NOT receive a refund if you pick up your packet at the EXPO.

MINIMUM PACE REQUIREMENT
Participants must maintain a minimum pace of 15:00/mile to participate in this event. This rule in place to enable Durham Police to reopen the major roads used for race course. It is suggested that you train at a minimum of 14-minute per mile pace. Thank you for your understanding.
For safety purposes and logistics management, baby strollers, baby carriers, and pets are NOT allowed in the Half Marathon, 5 Mile Run, or 1 Mile Run. No exceptions will be made. Littering on the course will result in disqualification.
All runners will be provided with race bibs with timing chips attached to the back. It is very important that the race number be worn on the front of your shirt to ensure that it works properly. In accordance with USATF Rules, overall and cash awards will be determined by gun time while age group awards will be determined by your chip time.
The 1 mile run will not be timed.
Races are held, rain or shine, unless Endurance Carolinas determines that conditions are too dangerous. This will be based on a prudent decision made on race weekend or race day by Race Officials and local law enforcement officials. If the race is canceled due to inclement weather there will be neither refunds nor transfers. This position is consistent with USA Track & Field recommendations and with the protocol of sharing the risks associated with the sport of running. In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, Endurance Carolinas reserves the right to alter, cancel or eliminate any/all portions of the race.
