Gore-Tex just got lighter and more breathable, thanks to the brand’s Shakedry technology. This new durable, water- and wind-proof fabric is highly packable, cutting weight and bulk by eliminating the need for a top layer. As the name indicates, the fabric prevents water from absorbing (aka “wetting out”), causing it to bead on the surface so that it just rolls off or shakes dry. With one less layer of fabric to weigh you down, this stretchy and ultra-thin jacket is able to transport perspiration away from the skin while protecting you from rain and wind.
