Cool Gear: Path Project Sykes PX Short

Running shorts done your way

Path Project Sykes PX Short, $45

Component running shorts and liners mean you can customize your perfect pair.

In an effort to make a better running short, one that is designed simply yet with advanced materials, Path Projects separated the short from the liner to allow runners—only males, at this point—to dial in their preferences with three shorts (priced from $45-$49) and three liners (priced from $27-$32) to personalize the nine different options. The Sykes PX Short, pictured, is made of a light, stretch fabric with a 7-inch inseam and three zippered pockets for plenty of secure storage during long runs and races. The liners all have a larger waistband and are constructed out of moisture-wicking, breathable fabric with mild compression and minimal panels and seams. The shorts move independently, and are designed with complementary smooth inner waistbands for sleek layering.
