For me, one of the best things to come from running is the motivation I got to finally learn to cook healthy meals. I quickly realized the appeal of junk food was it’s effortlessness. Tear open the box, peel off some plastic covering, read a few directions off the box, punch some buttons on the microwave, check social media until the timer goes off, and enjoy.
When the time came to improve my eating habits, I learned the appeal of healthy meals was the challenge to make something as delicious as fast food from scratch; especially when your schedule is already seemingly filled to the brim with other commitments.
