COVID-19 Race Update

January 13, 2022
Athletes,
We have been working closely with our permitting agencies over the past several months and, unfortunately, we have decided the Unite Half Marathon hosted at Rutgers University will not take place in 2022. We are thrilled to have worked with Rutgers University for over a decade to produce one of NJ’s best and largest half marathons.
There are many factors we must consider when producing a race of this magnitude. Typically, our production timeline is no less than 6 months from race weekend. We left no stone unturned in our attempts to produce the race on a drastically shortened runway but in the end, it’s not feasible.
We are thrilled that in-person racing has returned nationwide for many races. We are confident that all races have gone through a similar process regarding the risks/ rewards and that they are making prudent, safe and smart decisions. However, every venue is unique, every situation is different. Taking into consideration the many stakeholders affected by this race it is clear to us that this is the best course of action for all involved.
We want to thank each of you for your continued support. We will provide updates on a possible future race date as we establish them.
