2019 Shamrock Run Street Closures
(subject to change)
The 41st annual Shamrock Run will be held on Sunday, March 17 in downtown Portland with 25,000 participants. Listed below are the various streets that will have temporary closures for the event:
Naito Parkway/Front Avenue, between NW Everett and NW 26th Avenue will be closed in both directions from 7:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Naito Parkway, from NW Davis to SW Jefferson, will be closed in both directions from 5:45 a.m. to 1:15 pm.
SW Naito Parkway, from SW Columbia to SW Barbur Blvd, will be closed in both directions from 7:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
SW Barbur Blvd SOUTHBOUND only, from SW Sheridan to SW Hamilton, will be closed from 7:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
SW Barbur Blvd SOUTHBOUND only, from SW Hamilton to SW Parkhill, will be closed from 7:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
SW Capitol Highway from SW Barbur to SW Terwilliger will be closed in BOTH directions from 7:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
SW Terwilliger Boulevard, NORTHBOUND ONLY, from SW Capitol Highway to SW 6th Avenue, will be closed from 7:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
All downtown streets WEST of SW 1st Avenue will remain open all morning.
All bridges will remain open in both directions throughout the event. However, the ramp to Barbur Blvd at the west end of the Ross Island Bridge will be closed from 6:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Event Cancellation + Transfer Policy
Entry fees are non-refundable.
We appreciate you, as our customer, and understand that sometimes you just can’t make the race. We have created a great policy that offers you several different options in the event you cannot attend on race day. (You may choose only one of the options below.)
Defer Your Entry: You may defer your entry to the 2020 event. Deferrals must be processed through your ACTIVE MyEvents account and an administration fee of $25 will be charged. The deferral will expire after the 2020 event and you will not be able to defer your registration again. Deferrals must be processed prior to March 10th, 2019.
Log into your MyEvents.ACTIVE.com account and select “Change event” to begin the process. Don’t see the “Change event” button? Email email@example.com for help claiming your entry.
Transfers: You may not give or sell your number to anyone else. However, bib transfers are allowed for an administration charge of $25 and must be processed through your ACTIVE MyEvents account no later than March 14th, 2019. If you transfer your bib, you will receive a refund (minus the $25 administration charge) once the new participant signs up. The new runner will need to pay the full entry fee at the time of the transfer. This process is in place to avoid any fraudulent sales of race numbers.
Log into your MyEvents.ACTIVE.com account and select “Transfer registration” to begin the process.
Purchase Event Insurance: Booking Protect offers Registration Protector, which provides insurance to runners in many emergency and injury situations. This must be purchased at the time of registration, and cannot be retroactively added. If an event occurs that is covered under their policy, you would need to file a claim to receive a full race refund.
