If it weren’t for my parents, I likely would’ve given up on running a long time ago. The voice that’s always telling me to give up can often be pretty convincing, so I quickly realized how important it was to have at least one person dragging me out the door in one hand, with my running shoes in the other.
While I didn’t have to look very far (or, if we’re being honest, at all) for my running partners, some of us aren’t so lucky. Joining a local club is, in my opinion, a great first step to try in your search for the perfect training mates. However, when a group’s goals, or even schedule, don’t align well with your own, you may find your motivation to stay involved beginning to falter.
So, what do you need to look for to find the running buddy best suited for you?
